I started off as a skinny lanky kid and when I got to high school, I started putting on weight. I went from size 29 waist size to size 38 into my early 20’s. I would often go on diet fads and try all the typical marketing plans, but they would only last for a few months and eventually I would gain it all back. When I hit 24, I decided I needed a change my approach and started looking more into more long-term lifestyle changes. I went from waist size 38 to 32, XXL to M but now muscular and fit. I thought my best version was in high school, but every year I see a better version of myself.

My whole life I've had a passion for fitness and physical health. After countless injuries as a young boy, and a lack of direction for rehabilitation, fitness, and a sense of my body in general I started my fitness journey as a nomad, wandering the proverbial fitness wasteland filled with cavalier high school football coaches and social media influencers. My saving grace was an older friend I have who wisely communicated to me that "fitness is a singular journey." I took this to heart and started to pursue the scientific knowledge behind fitness. After getting certified in NASM I began my journey anew armed with knowledge and started to work on myself the correct way. After many years of coaching people from all walks of life that one sentiment rang true, "fitness is a singular journey." This does not mean that you are alone. It means that your fitness journey is unlike any other. There will be certain things that are non negotiable, such as proper form, nutrition, and recovery. However everyone is shaped differently and personal fitness goals vary, incredibly so. The fitness world can be inundating and crazy, which is why it's important that anyone has guides and friends to aid them on their journey. Be it a young athlete looking to make their freshman football team, or a recently retired investment banker looking to work on his health, I am here to help guide you through all the noise and be your partner in this vast and staggering world of fitness.

I started to prioritize my health when I realized the toll that COVID took over my body. At the beginning of the pandemic, I had not realized how much weight I had put on and the unhealthy relationship I had developed with food. Thus, from that point on, I told myself I needed to make a change not only physically, but mentally as well. I started to teach myself exercises that can be completed from home from certified personal trainers on Youtube. Not only that, but I started to educate myself on the importance of balance and mindfulness. After that, I began coaching for my sport’s team and discovered I had a passion for helping people discover their own potential. When I discovered this, I decided to get certified with ISSA and to educate myself even more by going after a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. My goal for you is to guide you to discover how much potential you have physically and mentally.

Growing up, I was always active and committed to healthy eating. From a young age through college, and even during my time in Shanghai, I dedicated myself to boxing. However, after retiring, I thought I could maintain my weight on my own. Slowly but surely, I started gaining weight—40 pounds heavier before I even realized it. I found myself with less energy and unable to keep up with my daughter, which was my turning point.
Frustrated and ready for a change, I returned to my fitness roots. With the support of my fitness colleagues, I began exercising and eating healthfully again. Today, I’ve regained my strength, energy, and health—and now, I’m passionate about helping others on their own fitness journey. I know firsthand what it’s like to lose and reclaim your fitness, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I began my fitness journey because I knew I had more potential and wanted to challenge myself physically and mentally. What started as working out with friends quickly turned into something much more than just a fun hobby—I realized I loved helping others and sharing the tips I was learning. This passion led me to take multiple courses revolving around kinesiology in college, where I fully devoted myself to learning more. Now, I’m committed to using what I’ve learned to help as many people as I can build strength, confidence, and mental resilience.

Coach Tommy
From the age of 12 to 20 I was fighting addiction on the streets of Baltimore city. When I turned 19, I moved to Virginia with my mother and step father. In my efforts of trying to stay out of trouble I found that idle time was a problem for me. At the end of the workday, I didn’t have anything to do and didn’t know anyone in the area so out of boredom I began lifting some old weights I found in the garage. Something funny happened when I finished working out…I felt great! Don’t get me wrong, exercise was very difficult at the beginning especially after 9 years of destroying my body. But I refused to give up. Quickly, working out became a part of my life. Wanting to take my fitness to the next level, I went in search of a gym. The day I stepped foot into a gym, and I felt at home. I felt like I belonged there. Something moved me to just go up and ask one of the trainers how I can become one of them. He told me I needed to get certified and told me where to go. I attended some classes, took their test, and passed. A few of the senior trainers took me under their wing, encouraging me to pick up more certifications and better myself…so I did. 16 years ago, I Slowly started building a reputation. I felt I could relate to my client’s struggles and told them if I could change my life so can they.
